Winter Walk

On the last day of winter, two of my children and I

took a long ramble through quiet woods and down to the waterside.

Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I wish you peace.

Quiet...

Sorry to have been so quiet.  We lost a good friend to a long-term illness this weekend.  He was only 51.  So, taking a little time for reflection and mourning. 

Sunday Snapshot

I see morning sun, glittering on a fresh blanket of snow

I hear the tinny mechanical music of my eleven year old son's hand held video game.  The rest of the house is quiet; the other children still dreaming.

I smell and taste hazelnut coffee.

The sun is dazzling.  The sky clear and blue.  All the world looks fresh this morning, and I feel renewed on this first Sunday in March.
